Calcium Propionate

Description
Calcium Propionate occurs as white crystals or as a crystalline solid. The pH of a 1:10 aqueous solution is between 7.5 and 10.5. One gram dissolves in about 3 mL of water.

Application
Calcium propionate is used as an antifungal agent for food and feed. It has a broad antibacterial effect on molds, yeasts and bacteria.

Storage & Transportation:It should be stored in a dry and ventilative warehouse, kept away from heat and moisture during transportation, unloaded with care so as to avoid damage. Furthermore, it must be stored separately from poisonous substances.
