Tetrasodium Pyrophosphate(TSPP)

Description
It occurs as colorless or white crystals or as a white, crystalline or granular powder. It is anhydrous or contains 10 molecules of water of hydration. The decahydrate effloresces slightly in dry air. It is soluble in water, but is insoluble in alcohol. The pH of a 1:100 aqueous solution is about 10.

Applications
1) Used as printing and dyeing fine bleaching auxiliary, water softener, etc.

2) Used as a complexing agent for copper in electroplating bath. Used as a rust remover in mechanical processing. It is formulated with sodium sulfonate as bleaching aid and wool degreasing agent. Auxiliary agent for bleaching, dyeing and fine bleaching of plant fibers. Used as a builder in synthetic detergents. In the production of calcium hydrogen phosphate for toothpaste, adding an appropriate amount of sodium pyrophosphate to form a colloid, which has a stabilizing effect. Used as a dispersant and emulsifier in chemical production. Used as water softener and boiler descaling
