Dicalcium Phosphate (DCP)

Description
Calcium Phosphate, Dibasic, occurs as a white powder. It is anhydrous or contains two molecules of water of hydration. It is stable in air. It is insoluble in alcohol, is practically insoluble in water, but is readily soluble in dilute hydrochloric and nitric acids.

Applications
1. As nutritional fortifier (calcium supplement) and leavening agent, it can be used in biscuits, milk replacers, and infant formula foods. It is also used as a yeast culture agent for bread manufacturing, and also as a dough improver for fermented noodle products.
2. As feed additive to supplement the phosphorus and calcium elements in poultry and livestock feed.
3. Used as auxiliary feed for poultry, it can promote the digestion of feed and increase the weight of poultry to increase meat production, milk production and egg production. It can also treat livestock rickets, rickets, anemia, etc.
4. Used as analytical reagent, plastic stabilizer, and also used in glass industry.
